Throwback Gems: Chip ‘n Dale Rescue Rangers

Chip n Dale Rescue Rangers was developed and published by Capcom, and released back in 1990, on the NES and PlayChoice-10. If you’re unfamiliar with the PlayChoice-10 it is one of those old arcade machines, which I use to play on a lot, at local store. ( I know I’m getting old lol) The NES is best known for it’s great line of Platforming games, Chip n Dale is included in that list.

What made Chip n Dale stand out for me, was the cartoon, I was a big enthusiast of the show. So of course I came to love the game, it also featured co-op, which was one of the first games I ever played that did. Co-op always makes something better, particularly when you have a sibling around.

The rescue rangers went on to sell over a million copy’s and receive a sequel, which I never have played. Since the 20 years its been released, the game has been put on various list of best games on the NES, along with best Nintendo games, making it a great classic to go back and visit anytime.

I remember this one! Capcom was really good with the licensed games, back in the day.
