At times one takes a break from pulse pounding action, to jump into a mere friendlier world. Chibi-Robo, is a prime example, and really a all around fun game. I’m not sure how big it is, the game sold a moderate amount. Surprisingly, it was enough to make three sequels.
Being held as a platform-adventure game, it does just that, in a sort of unusual, but in a fun, funny way. The picture at the top of the blog, explains everything you need to know. You are a tiny toy, that interestingly enough drags around his little cord.
While you play through the story, you will find yourself encountering problems within the family. The main purpose of this little bot, is to clean the house lol. This may be, or at least seem boring, but it grants you happy points. Further exploring leads to finding many collectables.
Its hard to explain how much the game truly holds, as I’m sure I missed things. The world is packed with more than meets the eye. Given a little time, Chibi will charm you into spending more time with the game than you thought you would.
Though Chibi-Robo didn’t do well, or isn’t praised by a lot of fans, I’d like to see more games like it. You know you’ve found something special to just set down and play. One which is fun, and before you realize it, you’ve put a lot of time into it, only exploring. You end up with a great atmosphere, characters, and story. Which is so easy to get caught in, but leaves a satisfying experience in the end.
It goes to show, if done right, the market doesn’t need to, or at least rely on gun totting soldiers, and sword flinging warriors. Sometimes a little bot can get the job done.
